Paint test!
After finishing my line work I put it on the right box and painted over it. I used thick paint to get some texture. I then scanned both layers in to photoshop and put them together. This was the result.
I like the textured look but it also looks messy. I think if I painted in the rest of it like her face then it would end up being too much. Also if I did it with every frame it'll just look a mess and not professional. I'm going to try edit them digitally but try adding texture through different brushes.
